Health Secretary's Food Measures are Welcomed!
01 Sep 2014

We have welcomed new measures announced last week by the health secretary for hospitals in England to be expected to provide a higher standard of food and the new standards, enforced through legally-binding NHS contracts, will focus on quality, choice and promoting a healthy diet for patients and staff. At Peninsula Community Health, we are currently leading the way with hospital nutrition and are the first health care organisation in the UK to create a Hydration Lead Nurse and to have a highly motivated Nutrition and Hydration Group who report to the Director of Nursing and Professional Practice.
